I just found out that Teflon is dangerous, which kind of blew my mind because we just bought this air fryer from Costco. I did some preliminary research on the product to find out if it contains Teflon, but I couldn’t find any solid information.

I called Gourmia at (888) 552-0033 and asked if the air fryer basket was coated with Teflon. The representative said that it was. So, if you don’t want to put more PFOA, PTFE, PFAS, and similar chemicals into your body, you might want to be careful with this product and others like it. We live in a crazy world.
The Gourmia Air Fryer doesn’t have any PFOA on the outside, but the cooking basket does. In fact, Teflon is used to cover the basket and rack. You should think about getting one with a ceramic coating. I just bought a Ninja 161 on Amazon, and the description makes it clear that it is made of ceramic. Don’t use Teflon.

Teflon is considered safe by the FDA, but it has been 100% proven that it is a toxic chemical that will never stop being toxic. It’s a shame that marketing won’t let people say the plain truth.
